Hello and welcome to the new and improved OkinawaJET Website!
We have updated and changed a lot of things on the website in hopes that the website will better serve the JET community in Okinawa. You will notice that most of the site looks exactly the same. That's because it is. However, there have been a couple major additions. One of these is a new OkiJET Wiki which is a comprehensive center for information, the content of which was pulled from the articles and the forums on the old site. We are confident that this Wiki will continue to grow as users contribute to it and serve as a powerful source of information for living in Okinawa. The Wiki is currently still under construction at the moment, but we hope to have it finished and available for use soon, so please be patient while we get the rest of the information uploaded. We have also switched forum platforms.
The purpose of the OkiJET forums, in addition to offering an easy way to consult with each other about work, school, and living-related issues, is to serve as a pool of information that can then be transferred to the Wiki, in turn strengthening it even further. We hope that the forums will become the center for communication and provide a more permanent, accessible source for all JETs for information and advice. Therefore, please use the forums for asking questions and consulting the community about various issues.
If you have any problems with using the new site, please post in the "Website Issues" section of the forum.
