*Orion Beer Festival and All Okinawa Eisa Festival have been POSTPONED!
Both events have been postponed until SEPTEMBER 11 (SATURDAY) and SEPTEMBER 12 (SUNDAY)! *
========================================================================
There is a Tropical Depression heading for Okinawa. It is currently Southeast of Mainland Okinawa and projected to pass between Mainland Okinawa and Miyako. While it is still a Tropical Depression, it is believed it will be upgraded to a typhoon sometime tomorrow morning. It is projected to hit Okinawa tomorrow as well. While we may not get a direct hit, we will experience heavy rains and strong winds. As such, many events that were planned for this weekend may be postponed. For those planning on attending the Eisa Festival and Orion Beer Festival tomorrow in Okinawa City, there is no official word regarding these events for tomorrow. However, there is a possibility that they may be postponed to a later date. You can keep up to date about these events at each event's official website listed below (Sorry, Japanese only): Eisa Festival: http://www.zentoeisa.com/ Orion Beer Festival: http://www.orionbeer.co.jp/event/beerfest/bf2010/koza.html Once again, please take all precautions to stay safe. Secure or clear your balcony of any loose items or objects that may be blown away by the typhoon. Again, you can keep track of the typhoon by following the link below.
